Launch and Celebration of the Powys Young Persons' Substance Misuse Service
On Monday 29th October, CAIS and Kaleidoscope hosted a launch of the Powys Young Persons’ Substance Misuse Service (YPSMS), and celebration of the work of the young people involved with the service over the past year. The event, held in the Youth Centre, Cadwallader Way in Llandrindod Wells, provided an excellent opportunity to reflect on the work done, build contacts and share hopes and visions for the coming years.
Powys YPSMS is just one of the services offered to adults and young people with substances misuse issues in Powys. In this area, CAIS works in partnership with Kaleidoscope, an established substance misuse service to deliver these services and operate the YPSMS.
CAIS works with young people under the age of 18 years and in transition through their 18 birthday. Support for people over 18 is provided by Kaleidoscope although this will be agreed and negotiated on need.
